Class attire varies by genre. Below are helpful guidelines:
**The studio offers tights, ballet and jazz shoes in all sizes, as well as beginner tap shoes for all Creative Combo I, II, Kinder Combo, Jr. Combo, and Level 1/2 tappers.**
Creative Combo I, II and, Kinder Combos: Dancers will be required to wear a solid color leotard (with or without a skirt) and tights. Solid color biketards are also acceptable. Dancers will need pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes for Creative Combo I, Creative Combo II, and Kinder Combo classes. Dancer's hair should always be pulled back away from the face in a bun or pony tail. Boys should wear a white t-shirt, black pants/short/leggings, black ballet shoes, and black lace up tap shoes *All Dance Shoes are sold at the studio*
Junior Combo: Dancers will be required to wear a solid color leotard (without a skirt) and tights. Solid color biketards are also acceptable. Dancers will need pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, and black jazz shoes for the Jr. Combo Class. Dancer's hair should always be pulled back away from the face in a bun or pony tail. Ballet: All dancers in the Primary through Adult levels are required to wear a black leotard, pink tights and pink split sole ballet shoes. Hair is required to be off the face and neck secured in a bun. Males should wear fitted white t-shirt with black pants, shorts, or leggins (no denim) and black ballet shoes.
Jazz, Musical Theater, Turns/Leaps: Dancers will need to wear fitted clothing (leotard, tights, dance shorts, leggings are best) NO DENIM should be worn. All dancers need to wear black split sole jazz shoes. Preferably slip-on with no laces. Dancer's hair should always be pulled back away from the face in a bun or pony tail.
Lyrical: Dancers will need to wear fitted clothing (leotard, tights, dance shorts, leggings are best) NO DENIM should be worn. All dancers need to wear black split sole jazz shoes or lyrical shoes. Dancer's hair should always be pulled back away from the face in a bun or pony tail.
Contemporary: Dancers will need to wear fitted clothing (leotard, tights, dance shorts, leggings are best) NO DENIM should be worn. All Dancers need to wear contemporary shoes. Dancer's hair should always be pulled back away from the face in a bun or pony tail.
Tumbling: Leotard with fitted shorts or a biketard. Dancer's hair should always be pulled back away from the face in a bun or pony tail.
Tap: Dancers will need to wear fitted clothing (leotard, tights, dance shorts, leggings are best) NO DENIM should be worn. Black tap shoes should be worn. We prefer a leather-hard shank-oxford style black tap shoe by So Danca, Capezio or Bloch brands. Dancer's hair should always be pulled back away from the face in a bun or pony tail.
Hip Hop: Dancers should wear breathable fibers. NO DENIM. Clothing can be a looser fit than other dance genres. Shorts and t-shirts, leggings, sweat pants and tank tops are all suitable. Dancers need a sneaker that is designated solely for dance. These shoes should not be worn outside. The hip hop shoes should be a non-gripping, basketball or skater shoes, preferably white in color and a mid to high top for added ankle support.
