As a 2017 graduate from Saint Mary’s College of California, Vanessa Freeman now holds a Master of Fine Arts in Dance: Design and Production as well as a certificate in Choreography. Freeman embraces the new adventures that await her in the pathways of healing through dance mentorships. The healing process is shared though our artistic creations and Freeman has enjoyed the sharing of this experience with her students for over 12 years of teaching dance technique, aiding students in the choreographic process, and developing core strength/flexibility through gross motor skill activities/exercises with ages ranging from 18 months to senior citizens. Freeman also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Dance: Education from Ottawa University and an Associate of Applied Sciences in Dance Technology from Scottsdale Community College. While attending college at OU and SCC, she received superb mentorship from faculty, mentor teachers, and guest artists from various areas of the country. She also had the opportunity to perform with SCC Moving Company and Instinct Dancecorps, traveling across the country to participate in the American College Dance Festivals. Although Freeman has trained mainly in Modern dance technique, she is well versed in teaching Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Core Strengthening/Flexibility, and Early Childhood Tumbling/Tap/Creative Movement classes.
