Sydney Marie Knudson has been dancing since the age of two and comes from a big family of artists. Growing up as a competition dancer in California Sydney has had many opportunities to take class and partake in choreography from teachers such as, Michael Schumacher, Travis Wall, Bonnie Story, Brooke Lipton, Mia Micheals and many more. She holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Dance and Organizational Sciences from the University of Idaho. In her college years she danced, choreographed, and produced many concerts as well as participated in two major tours of the Pacific Northwest with the school's spring dance and music collaboration of Dancers, Drummers, Dreamers. Sydney was also on University of Idaho's Dance team her junior and senior year, dancing at both basketball and volleyball games. While on this team she had to honor of choreographing side lines and half times to be performed for the University. Last spring she had the joy of attending and performing at the the American College Dance Association, where she took classes from professors from all around the U.S. In January Sydney attended Repertory Dance Theater's “Winter Fest” workshop taking class from company members and learning from their vast bank of current and historical repertoire. Sydney is currently residing in Brentwood California teaching, choreographing, and attending classes all around the bay area with hopes of beginning her professional dance career. She is thirlled to share her passion and love of dance with the students of In Motion Dance Center.
