Deena Roming grew up dancing in the Bay Area since the age of 3. She has trained her entire life in jazz, ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, modern, tap, cheerleading, and tumbling. During her 30+ years of dance experience she has held many national dance titles ranging from Tremaine's Scholarship Winner, and Showstopper's National Dance Champion, to Miss Contra Costa County, and runner-up to Miss California.

Deena has danced professionally for the San Francisco 49ers as a Gold Rush cheerleader. She choreographed and performed in Disneyland’s Fantasmic as many of your favorite Disney princesses. Deena also choreographed and danced professionally for the Golden State Warriors as a Warrior Girl on the Hip Hop Jam Team. Her professional dance career gave her the opportunity to dance with big names like Tony Bennett, Keith Urban, and Boyz II Men; connecting her with companies like All City Dance and The Repertory Dance Company where she toured the United States. She has even performed for our troops over seas with the USO!

Deena’s 22 year teaching career has led her to work with amazing choreographers like Mandy Moore, and Dee Caspary of So You Think You Can Dance. She has had students go on to dance professionally for college teams, NBA teams, NFL teams and TV and award shows like BunHeads, So You Think You Can Dance and the CMT’s. Her ability to share her passion of dance through every dance move she does, whether, jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, cheer, tumbling or tap is infectious to her students. She loves what she does for a living and it shows.

After receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology (the study of the body and its movement), Deena furthered her education by attaining a Master's Degree in Dance Choreography and Performance from Mills College. You will find that her education is superior to any other studio directors in the area.

Deena's unparalleled dance experience has led her to instruct dance of the highest level for the last 22 years. She truly enjoys every aspect of teaching dance and is blessed to do what she loves every day for a living!
